What is Cherry?
Cherry is a community of digital experts that is developed within the Cherry Decentralized Autonomous Organization. Its goal is to improve the ability of artists and creators to freely express their art.
How? By developing and improving day by day innovative technologies such as Blockchain, DeFi and Smart Contracts: areas that are currently enjoying an ever-increasing popularity.
What is Cherry's mission statement?
Cherry's mission is to promote awareness that art, whatever its content, is a necessary prerequisite for human progress and prosperity. However, legacy systems tend to censor and suppress art deemed "controversial" or "inconvenient." As a result, creatives and artists are often restricted with fees and high barriers to entry. The team at Cherry is therefore committed to creating a space where people's art can be fully and freely expressed.
Discovering Cherry's NFTs
What is an NFT? The term designates "Non Fungible Token." The word fungible is synonymous with interchangeable. For example, Bitcoins are fungible. If you wanted to exchange a Bitcoin with another person, nothing would change, precisely because of the fact that these tokens are interchangeable. NFTs are just the opposite: each token has a unique digital signature that differentiates it from every other token. This functionality has enabled the creation of several digital realities with immense potential, such as:

- Tokenized ownership of real-world resources.
An NFT can be a GIF, a meme, a video, or a digital image. The fact that it is "tokenized" allows the work in question to achieve a high commercial value, as it is easier to figure out who actually owns that digital work.

Cherry Originals feature seven key attributes:
Properties
Originals can be owned by a single address or have no owner and be "up for grabs" for anyone who wishes to purchase them.
Exchangeability
Originals can be sold or "adopted" if they have no current owner.
Composability
Originals can own and/or wear other Originals. For example, in a role-playing game your character may be an NFT capable of wearing other NFTs as equipment.
Mutability
Originals can evolve over time: they can, for example, "level up", become stronger or even transform into a more powerful form after gaining enough experience.
Programmability
Originals can be incorporated with logic by app developers. This allows them to encode both item properties (such as weight, durability, bonuses, etc.) and rules (e.g., a character can wear armor but an armor cannot wear a character). Portability Originals can move through chains and, thus, from one game to another on the Cherry Chain, if enabled.
